Playoffs!?!?

It’s the last week of the season and there is actually a heck of a lot on the line. Let’s go through it team by team and see how this could conclude:


Mike Gallagher: See you guys in the playoffs. I have the one seed.


Max Rosenberg: Max locks up a spot with a 5-2-1 win. He has the biggest match-up the week with Arnie (currently tied for the four seed). If he loses to Arnie and Kyle handles his business against Dwayne by 6-2 or so, Max could be left out of the party.

Justin Schultz: Losing 0-7-1 demoted Justin from a virtual lock, to having a lot to play for this week. If he wins 6-2, he would clinch a playoff spot and the division. Max should also be hoping for Arnie and Justin’s match-up to go 4-4 or 5-3 in favor of Arnie to give him a very good chance. Of course, he and everyone mentioned will be wholeheartedly rooting for Dwayne to beat Kyle.

Kyle Moulton: Kyle is the bad guy of the week as he faces a team that is out and is currently holding the highly coveted four seed. However, Arnie is tied with him in winning percentage, so as long as Arnie wins more games than Kyle, he would take his spot. Furthermore, Max and Justin are ahead by a couple games, so it is really important for Kyle to earn the win this week.

Arnie Moulton: Arnie is in that aforementioned huge match-up with Max. He almost has to win to give himself a shot, but Kyle losing and the teams below him (Matt, Islam, and Jamaal) not blowing up for a 7-1, 7-0-1, or 8-0 will go a long way to having Max and Arnie joining me in the postseason.

Matt Gallagher: Arnie beating Matt last week put a big dent in his comeback attempt. Matt would probably like to see Max crush Arnie along with Kyle or Justin losing big. He is a slight underdog to do so, but his match-up with Islam is the second most important of the week. Since Matt is one game ahead of Islam, everyone else should be rooting for Islam in a close game.

Islam Elnaggar: Islam basically needs the same things to go down as Matt and really needs a 6-2 to give him at least a shot. If Max crushes Arnie and Justin or Kyle get spanked, he could get a ticket to the dance. Although he would need Jamaal to beat Justin at least 6-2 to even have a chance. A Dwayne win 5-3 over Kyle would go a long way as well.

Jamaal Gilbert. Jamaal needs some help, but he can pull it off. He needs Max to destroy Arnie at least 7-1 and Kyle to get dominated 7-1 as well. He would also need Islam and Matt’s match-up to be close to a tie (in a perfect world probably 4-3-1 in favor of Islam). He’s not dead, but we’ll call it 20:1 odds.

Michael Carroll: Long story short, Carroll needs to beat me 8-0. He would also need Arnie to lose to Max 0-8, Kyle to lose 0-8 or 0-7-1, Islam to beat Matt either 5-3 or 4-3-1, and for Jamaal not to dominate Justin. Good luck.

Dwayne Ward: Dwayne is the only owner that is mathematically eliminated. Every single owner is rooting for Dwayne this week, so he could be a big hero.
