I still haven’t lost more than two games in a week. That will change very soon since I am stashing Roddy Buckets and Anthony Randolph. I gave myself a B- for healthy even though I don’t have that many injuries. I did get blindsided by the biggest unexpected injury thus far in the season (Noah).
All I want to say is NOBODY thought I drafted a good team and look who is ahead by 29.5 games over the entire league.

Matty got ravaged by injuries the way Big Ben ravaged young girls in bathrooms. He has been cripple worse than Timmy and Jimmy with injuries to Gallo, Jennings, Delfino (who he just got back), and Devin Harris.
While some say my bro’s team is one of the weaker ones, he possesses some of the best guard in the whole fantasy league.
Matt is going to need his sledge-o-matic and start crushing people to have a chance.

To be perfectly Frank, even though my name is Mike, I thought Troy drafted one of the shittiest teams in the league. He neglected drafting big men more than any other owner and didn’t really look like he was going to make the playoffs.
11 trades later there’s no doubt Troy has the best team in the Bad Division. As mentioned above, he had a Joan Rivers-type of makeover with complete fantasy reconstuctive surgery.
His only loss has been to me in the past seven weeks and he has seemingly locked up the two seed. The similarities are remarkable for baseball as I draft a beast and run away with the regular season, while Troy improves his team as the season progresses. Unless someone steps up, it looks like it’ll be another showdown.


Mike Carroll

Carroll was going win for win with me back in November and has been just treading water while Kyle has caught up to him in the standings.
Carroll was Max’s patsy for unloading Brandon Roy and it seems like the ol’ Husky is going to do more harm than good on his roster.
Mike is on a three-week losing streak and needs a win in the worst way to boost the confidence of his players. They don’t care about the NBA standings, only the Out Like 6 Fouls standings.
At this rate, it is tough to say that Carroll can make the playoffs given the way he relinquished his nice cushion in a fairly short amount of time.


Max Rosenberg

Ah Max. The rookie. We were going to haze you, but I totally forgot. We do reserve the right to start hazing at some point, so beware.
Max was 30 games behind me in the standings in almost a month and it looked like he his lineup had more holes in it than Max‘s dad from Inglourious Basterds. Nevertheless, he has the second-longest non-losing streak of six weeks (one tie in that span). Max has made the best waiver add in the past month with Flyin’ Ryan Anderson has caught fire and has basically been a top-10 player in the past two weeks.
At this rate Max should leapfrog Carroll and Kyle and should finish second in the Good Division.

Jamaal Gilbert

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Jamaal was dealt the ultimate 7-2 off-suit hand in the league thus far. First, I get Kevin Durant for Joe Johnson and Jrue Holiday. What happens the very next day? Joe Johnson needs elbow surgery and was supposed to miss four weeks. Of course he missed just over two, but that’s not the point.
He then dealt for Horford and Camby in two deals that were done within days of one another. BOTH of those guys go down to injuries (Camby’s being somewhat major).
Jamaal has earned more than four wins against just one team over the course of the season. Jamaal has been one of the more active owners in the trade market with eight deals done. Except for the one today involving Jordan, I’ve felt that Jamaal got the best of the deals in all of the ones that didn’t involve Troy. On the other hand, I’m starting to wonder if Troy has some Jedi Mind Trick he’s been able to use to coerce him out of some of the deals they’ve made with each other. Jamaal and I both know our stuff, but for some reason we never feel the same about the deals we make.
Jamaal has a huge mountain to climb and is going to need to start pulling at least a couple 6-2 showings to have even an outside chance.


Dwayne Ward

I honestly thought Dwayne was going to easily be in second after his sick draft. It turns out I didn’t give him enough credit as Dwayne stuck gold on Rudy Gay, Derrick Rose, Blake Griffin, and Manu Ginobili in rounds 4-8 (Ariza the other pick).
The problem with Dwayne’s team is depth. Dwayne has a league-high of 10 guys that, by my estimation, should not be owned. That’ll really kill you on Wednesdays and Fridays, folks.
I’m not even sure Dwayne has even made a comment on the message board and I’ve been told he doesn’t respond to trade offers. Those kinds of moves could get you ostrasized from the fantasy community.
Dwayne was able to scoop Andray Blatche and Darren Collison last year, so he has set the bar pretty high for being a hawk on the wire. He still has a good shot to sneak in at the three or four spot.


Arnie Moulton

Poor Arnold. He had to go away for all of December and his fantasy team lost some ground in those four matchups. The worst of the four came at the hands of Dwayne by dropping an 8-0 on his dome. Since then, his team has gone 2-1-1 and even had a huge 8-0 against Shane to get him back in it. He gets to play my team at the right time as I’m haphazardly stashing guys in an attempt to find another gem to keep rostered.
He’s certainly going to make his moves on the wire, but I do think he needs to make some moves in order to become a true contender.


Kyle Moulton

To his credit, Kyle is a patient man. He drafted Hedo Turkoglu and while it looked like it was going to be an collossal failure, it certainly panned out once he was shipped out of Phoenix. He has been cosistent with his patience by waiting for Aaron Brooks to snap out of his funk.
Kyle has made a couple trades that looked like they should work out for him by acquiring the likes of David West and Channing Frye. Both dudes have stepped it up and Kyle is currently sitting at .500 and would make the playoffs had the season ended today. Kyle will need a statement win against Shane this week to announce himself as a contender.


Shane Cornelius

Shane has one the best group of must-start players in the league. His group of Curry, Dwight, Felton, Udrih, Matthews, and Eric Gordon matches up with just about every other owners best six players. He has a nice group of mediocre players combined with some high-upside youthful assets.
Activity will lead to his demise at this rate. As all of you have figured out, not add-dropping on a daily basis (or close to it), puts you behind the 8-ball (Shane in 8th place).
He has to get on the wire and start using some streamers to save his season. At least he doesn’t play Jamaal or me for the rest of the season (a combined
4-20 in those four games).
